Nick Caldwell is a tech executive with more than 25 years of experience, an active board member, and a venture capital investor.
Nick presently serves as the Chief Product Officer at Peloton, where he plays a pivotal role in defining and executing this iconic company’s product strategy. He oversees the full lifecycle of Peloton’s innovative fitness offerings by leading a multi-disciplined team of product managers, designers, hardware/software engineers—from conceptualizing and designing new features to guiding their development and ensuring an exceptional user experience.
In previous roles, Nick was the General Manager for Core Technologies at Twitter, overseeing a 2,000-person team. He also led Reddit through hyper-scale as the VP of Engineering, helping grow their valuation from $500M to $2B. He spent 13 years at Microsoft, culminating in the role of General Manager for Power BI, which is now the business-intelligence category leader. Finally, Nick was Chief Product Officer at Looker which was acquired by Google for $2.6B.
His board work has included: HubSpot, a publicly traded company specializing in CRM; Bitly, the market leader in URL shortening and analytics; True, a leading executive recruiting firm; and /dev/color a non-profit dedicated to the career advancement of black software engineers.
Nick’s venture portfolio includes more than 50 seed and series-A startups, primarily focused on AI, data analytics, future of work, and social media.
Nick holds a computer science and electrical engineering degree from MIT and an MBA from U.C. Berkeley Haas.
